Hendrickson Asia Pacific debuted the new TOUGHLIFT™ non-steer lift axle in May at the Brisbane Truck Show. Available as a pusher or tag axle, with either disc or drum brakes, the design promotes up to 10 tonnes of capacity in order to handle a variety of truck applications.
This new product combines a dependable HLM-2 Series suspension with a straight or drop axle. Combined with the Hendrickson Long Life wheel-end system and shock absorber kit it creates an easy to access package with great value and reliability. Installed with an auto raise/lower air valve, the lift axle will raise or lower automatically when a predetermined load is put on or taken off the vehicle, without need for driver involvement.
All wheel-ends come standard with our premium HXL5® Hendrickson Extended-Life wheel-end system, featuring premium bearings, seal and our PRECISION240® Spindle Nut System. All packages include Hendrickson’s patented TRI-FUNCTIONAL™ bushes and easy axle alignment QUIK-ALIGN® System. With up to 150 mm of axle lift, the tyres have ample clearance when raised.
Hendrickson TOUGHLIFT liftable suspension provides an economical load sharing suspension system when matched with Hendrickson HAS™ or PRIMAAX® EX drive-axle suspensions. It offers increased tyre life and reduced whole of life maintenance costs, whilst being lightweight without compromising durability.
