Application: Approved for platforms and drop decks, for on-highway and vocational applications.

The HK SLIDER Series combines our HT™ Series suspensions with our superior K-2® slider box, resulting in a sliding tandem system that is ideal for a variety of applications. The "K" shaped bracing leaves more room for auxiliary components.

Capacity: 40,000 lb - 46,000 lb
Application: Approved for dry freight, refrigerated, and specialty vans.

Trailer Brakes
As part of INTRAAX and VANTRAAX, Hendrickson provides the most efficient S-cam brake system available in the industry. The integrated axle, brake and suspension design provides the shortest S-cam and allows for beam mounting of brake chambers and the industry's only trailer Cam Tube System™. The result is more responsive brakes with less deflection in the system. This improved brake stroke provides benefits of long stroke brake chambers without the added cost as well as unmatched fade resistance and performance with long stroke brake chambers. For extended service brake options, Hendrickson-offers HXS® Brakes.
The latest addition to our full line of industry-standard, low-maintenance axles. A superb choice for intermodal chassis applications, HCA supplies a one-piece axle bar with hot-formed spindles.

Axle Capacity: 22,500 lbs.
Application: Approved for intermodal chassis applications.

These value enhancing, tire inflation system and dressed axle options provide higher levels of system integration and fleet productivity. Hendrickson offers a full line of READY-TO-ROLL® (RTR®) options including: unitized, aluminum, ductile iron and ADI hubs; Centrifuse™ and cast drums; brake chambers and automatic slack adjusters, and pre-tested ABS sensors.

For haulers demanding reduced maintenance concepts, RTR provides options like Hendrickson Unitized System™ (HUS®), Hendrickson Long-life System™ (HLS™) and ConMet PreSet™ hub systems that can reduce or eliminate costly downtime.

The TIREMAAX tire inflation system supplies an answer to fundamental tire under-inflation issues. This patented system automatically inflates tires that are below their target pressure setting using air from the trailer air tank. TIREMAAX helps protect your trailer from the increased maintenance expense and reduced productivity and fuel mileage caused by running with low tire pressure.

SURELOK®
Hendrickson offers a variety of solutions to your loading dock concerns. For trailer drop, the Hendrickson solution is SURELOK. This low weight option maintains the trailer at ride height during loading and unloading operations. When the trailer's parking brakes are set, a pair of supports automatically swing into place over the suspension beams, holding the trailer at ride height. When loading/unloading is complete, the trailer's parking brakes are released and the supports disengage. With high-strength steel construction, SURELOK is rugged, reliable and maintenance-free. SURELOK is currently available as an option on Hendrickson HK190T/230 and VANTRAAX Sliders. It is recommended when ride height must be maintained or when a trailer drop of more than three inches (normal suspension up travel) is undesired. Low weight SURELOK...
  • activates automatically with the trailer parking brakes
  • holds the trailer at ride height
  • limits vertical and horizontal movement
For trailer walk, Hendrickson offers two solutions: SURELOK and air exhaust (dump) valves. With the SURELOK supports in place during the loading/unloading process, the movement that contributes to trailer walk is minimized while the trailer ride height is maintained. With one of our automatic or manual dump valves in place, air can be exhausted from the air springs allowing the trailer to rest fully on the internal air spring bumpers. With the trailer resting on the internal air spring bumpers, the movement that contributes to trailer walk is prevented.

QUIK-DRAW®
QUIK-DRAW® makes true fingertip slider pin release a reality. The first fully-pneumatic, pin-pull mechanism operates with a simple pull of a valve. Specify this new, lightweight option on VANTRAAX® or K-2® slider boxes to enhance driver productivity, safety and satisfaction. When activated, QUIK-DRAW applies continuous pressure until the pins release, simplifying repositioning into a one-person operation. As an additional safety measure, pins automatically reset with the release of the emergency brake.

Hendrickson Extended Service™ (HXS®) Brakes
HXS options bring extended service linings to INTRAAX and VANTRAAX brakes.
  • 16.5 x 7 HXS adds 27 percent more usable lining volume to standard service brakes.
  • 16.5 x 8.625 HXS adds 58 percent more usable lining volume to standard service 16.5 x 7 brakes. Wide HXS can more than double lining life in most applications due to both the increased lining volume and cooler operating temperatures.
  • HXS brakes can be retrofitted to existing units with new cams and shoes.
