AIRTEK® represents a quantum leap in front suspension and axle
technology. This product offers unmatched ride and handling
performance. The same smooth, comfortable ride that cradles
passengers and drivers reduces vibration-induced wear-and-tear
on the chassis itself to help extend overall vehicle and
component durability. AIRTEK utilizes a Hendrickson manufactured
steer axle called STEERTEK. STEERTEK is also available with the
SOFTEK® front mechanical system.
Capacity: Up to 14,600 lbs.
Application: Approved for bus, RV, and medium-duty truck
applications. |
 |
The SOFTEK® system is an integrated front suspension and
robotically welded steer axle that work together to form an
integrated torsion system. This lightweight system delivers
enhanced ride, stability and handling characteristics while
reducing weight and maintenance. The unique spring design
produces increased roll stability during cornering and in
crosswinds providing a more stable platform. SOFTEK utilizes a
Hendrickson manufactured steer axle called STEERTEK. STEERTEK is
also available with the AIRTEK® front air system.
Capacity: Up to 14,600 lbs.
Application: Approved for bus, RV, and medium-duty truck
applications. |

The Hendrickson IFS delivers superior ride and handling compared
to standard front mechanical and air suspensions. With up to 57
degrees of wheel cut, the IFS provides exceptional
maneuverability in tight spaces. The cutting-edge short / long
arm design provides superior handling both on the open highway
and over rough roads.
Capacity: 12,000 - 14,600 lbs.
Application: Approved for RV and Motorcoach applications. |
 |
The PARASTEER™ front suspension system is designed for both
front and rear-engine school and commercial buses and
motorhomes. The PARASTEER system utilizes a unique four-bar
linkage design to position the air springs directly under the
load, improving ride quality and chassis / body protection.
Simplicity of design and heavy-duty bushings contribute to a low
maintenance system.
Capacity: 12,600 - 14,600 lbs.
Application: Approved for commercial buses, school buses
and RVs. |

Hendrickson's lightweight, non-torque reactive HTB™ rear air
suspension system combines superior ride, improved stability,
reduced weight and reduced scheduled maintenance. The
parallelogram design controls suspension wind-up and
corresponding frame rise, while reducing suspension-induced
driveline vibration to extend driveline component life and
passenger comfort.
Capacity: 17,000 - 20,000 lbs.
Application: Approved for bus, RV, and medium-duty truck
applications.
(Availability of the HTB air system may be limited to specific
chassis manufacturers for truck applications.) |

HTB™ Rear
Mechanical Suspension
Hendrickson's lightweight, non-torque reactive HTB™ rear
mechanical suspension system combines excellent ride, improved
stability, reduced weight and reduced scheduled maintenance. The
parallelogram design controls suspension wind-up and
corresponding frame rise, while reducing suspension-induced
driveline vibration to extend driveline component life and
passenger comfort.
Capacity: 15,500 - 17,500 lbs.
Application: Approved for bus, RV, and medium-duty truck
applications.
(Availability of the HTB mechanical system may be limited to
specific chassis manufacturers for RV applications.) |

The COMFORT AIR® system is an engineered ride solution designed
for buses, motorhomes, and ambulances. This suspension offers
superior ride and handling for passenger comfort, as well
vehicle protection.
Capacity: 15,000 - 23,000 lbs.
Application: Approved for most bus, coach, and ambulance
applications. Approved for up to 10% off-highway use. |
 |
The durable construction of Hendrickson's HAS™ rear air
suspension improves handling characteristics and reduces
scheduled maintenance. Large-volume air springs and premium
shock absorbers provide a softer ride and greater protection
from the effects of road shock on the chassis, equipment,
drivers, and passengers.
Capacity: 12,000 lbs. - 23,000 lbs.
Application: Typical applications include buses, RVs,
beverage trucks, emergency vehicles, refuse trucks, sweepers,
tanker trucks, and on-highway vans.
